Hakuna Matata - Disney Series #2

Yayyy! For my 2nd Disney series design, I did Lion King because my boyfriend loves loves loves the Lion King! Rafiki was sooooo hard to do, also I hate the way he turned out. So on the thumb I did a young Simba, then from right to left I have Pumba, Rafiki, Scar, and Zazu. Scar doesn't actually have a scar on his eye in this, because I forgot to paint it on. Stay tuned! More Disney character nails to come!

Hakuna Matata!!

Hi Ho! - 5 of the 7 Dwarves!!! Disney Series #1

Hi Ho! Hi Ho!

My boyfriend and I are going to Disneyland in a couple of weeks, so until Spring Break I will be posting a series of Disney nails to get myself pepped up for the trip! This will be my first time back to Disneyland since high school so I'm super excited.

Ok, so here I've done Grumpy, Bashful, Doc, Dopey, and Sleepy; I was going to finish out and do the other two, however it was getting late and it is hard to make the Dwarves because I had to mix each color to make their hats and skin. So I can't list the colors, but I can tell you what tools I used. I used a dotting tool, a very very thin brush (like 6 bristles), a small nail art brush, and a piece of paper to mix the colors on.

I can't wait to see what's next but I'm going to get started on my next Disney post now. I will also take suggestions as I have 2 weeks til the trip.

Roses are... Pink

Happy Birthday, Chrissy! These design was created for Chrissy for her birthday party which was yesterday... she wanted the nails to have roses to match her birthday dress. I was kind of scared to paint on roses but I do like a challenge. They turned out quite pretty, and I think Chrissy was pleased with the outcome. I'd let everyone know what they colors we used for it but she brought over her own polish and I didnt get a chance to write down which ones they were but I'll just credit it to OPI and fill it in later.
Yay.

An Old Favorite

After bleaching my hair, I felt so shaken up I needed to get back to my roots (no pun intended!) and paint on an old favorite to remind me I'm still me... So I, as usual, couldnt decide on a color so I used Pink Promenade Creme by NYC, Sunny Side Up by Wet n Wild and Mellow Yellow by Sally Hansen Hard as Nailz. Painted on zebra stripes, which takes me all of about 2.5 minutes for ten fingers now... and of course a couple coats of Seche Vite Top Coat. I think I have finally synchronized the use of 1 bottle of Seche Vite with 1 bottle of NPR. Which makes sense since everytime I paint my nails I aways have to take of polish and apply top coat. But now they are finally in sync so I buy them together now. Oh my life is so simple.

Pink Polkies with Bowties!

Super cute short nails tipped with a revamped version of my red and white Minnie Mouse nails, but in PINK! These look a lot like my hands, but they are Chrissys, and we have suprisingly almost the same exact nail sizes. Would give a nail color breakdown, but unfortunately I am unaware of the name of the base pink, however it's got a coat of Sally Hansen's HD in LCD, which is my favorite of the collection. A light see-through pink with micro shimmers of blue in certain light. Goes good on top of any shade of pink.
